The last week here at training has been great! There are some long lectures, LONGER meetings, and tedious assignments…but for the most part I am thoroughly enjoying myself here. It is basically my job (I am getting paid thank you, Lottie Moon) to spend time with God for the next 2 months. Basically I have had an amazing time. The Word has been like bread to me. I crave it. Man, it’s been a while since I have been able to say that. Thank you God for allowing me to be a part of what you are doing in the world.

I am finally in Virginia for training! The festivities begin tomorrow at 2pm. From this travel day, that might be when I wake up: ) I already miss you people, it’s terrible. Please pray for me in the next two months as I prepare for Belgium. There are some hang-ups with my VISA…most of which are my fault….at any rate please pray that things get hurried along so that I can leave when I am scheduled to leave (Jan 5). Thanks! I will keep you all posted as to my adventures.

My senior year of college a group of my friends decided that board games were still cool and we wanted to play them. So began game night. Every Wednesday (well, most wednesdays) we got together and played fun games like Scattegories, Pop 5, Scene It, Who Knew, and other miscellaneous ones that I cannot currently remember. Sometimes we had 4 or 5 people and sometimes we had 15. They were all good experiences that made us laugh and relax amid the craziness that was our lives as students.
Tonight is my last game night before I leave for Virginia and then Belgium. I’m spending it with Beth, Jonathan, Dylan and Travis. I can’t think of anyone I’d rather be with to share this experience….or last experience, rather. Thank you guys for the memories. I love you and have loved my moments with you.

Saturday, October 4. Brie’s 22 birthday:
6:45am Woke up and actually put myself together for once
8am Went to work and drove around the golf course giving old people beer.
12pm Left work and went to the mall to shop for a birthday outfit with Sarah.
1:43pm Stood waiting for the incompetent Mervyns employee to ring up my shoes.
1:57pm Prayed that God would give me patience while I was still waiting for the Mervyns employee to figure out how to ring in my shoes.
2:40pm Arrived at Beth’s house for the party.
3-9pm Hung out with 40 of the best people I know. I was extremely blessed and felt so loved!
10pm Went to Jeni’s house and had bonding time.
12:15-ish Went to bed and thanked God for an amazing day (minus my Mervyns experience).
Thanks friends, I love you!
